Hey Everyone!
WE are gearing up and asking for help with Toys for Tots in SL 2009.
This is our 5th year of doing Toys for Tots and we hope that this is year is even bigger then last year.
As a designer in supporting the Toys for Tots Fundraiser we ask that you make one special item, you can do more if you like, and place it inside the kiosk.
All proceeds from the item will go 100% to Toys for Tots.
Just a few details on this years event!
When does it begin?
Nov 26,2009 but anyone can join in at anytime.
What if the price point I want is not in the Designer Packet?
That is not an issue, just drop me a note card with the price point you want and I'll drop it back to you asap.
Can I make more then one item?
Of course,and it doesn't have to be just clothes. Whatever your store specializes is what you can do for the fundraiser :)
When is the money going to be sent to Toys for Tots?
Dec 21 will be the closing date for the fundraiser, that is when we will tally up and cash out with LL.
How do we know the money will be donated?
This is not our first year in doing Toys for Tots, Toys for Tots has been LVS &Co's
primary fundraiser for 5 yrs now. We will be posting proof of the donation, after it is done,and the total amount we will be donating once we cash out the raised lindens.
Why doesn't the money go directly to you? Whose Ittlebitty Littlething?
Ittle bitty is our Toys for Tots avie piggy bank.
To keep the money separate from our own personal sales and make sure all the money that is ment to go to Toys for Tots, in fact makes it to Toys for Tots we are keeping all raised money separate.
Again this isn't something we are forcing people to do, we just hope that you will join us this Christmas in helping The Toys for Tots fundraiser help bring Christmas to unfortunate children this year,like so many years before.

| Ren Fest 2009 |

Hey everyone, Just wanted to let everyone know whats going to be going on for next month.
Because Thanksgiving is such a "family"holiday and I know alot of you will be traveling, or having company we wanted to do an event but make it as easy as possiable without having to do deadlines etc.
Beginning on Nov 16- Nov 30 we will be doing the LVS Ren Fest.
For those of you who remember last year, the ren fest doesn't really have to do with any "hunts"
We ask that those who will we be interested in setting up "lil booths" like in an actual ren fest, contact ASAP deadline will be Nov 7th. Please keep in mind that the lil booths are just a teaser for what other goodies you may have in your store,all items on the booths must be 1L.
Ren Fest's cover a spectrum of styles
fairies,wenches,pirates,swords,obvoiusly ren,dragons,kings, queens the royal court..etc etc.
Duncan will also be looking into getting large carnival pieces to place in certain areas,this is a possiablity not a concrete yes,we need to see if they will be able to fit and still allowing everyone to move around easily.
Again the Ren Fest will begin on Nov 16.

Hey you guys two things..
One..remember the Halloween event starts at Monday at midnight, thats when
I will make the offical announcements..
And two, wanted to know if, I took the time to make a sim blog,for designers who were in the LVS Drive sim,and got it up and running on the fashion feeds so ppl see your posts,would you guys use it,and keep it up to date with posting of your new items etc.
I'll give it till the end of the month to get your feedback, let me know.
You would have to have a gmail account for me to send you an invite to be a poster,but thats not hard to do and its free..

| OctoberPalooza Event BreakDown |

Some of you were asking for Event Breakdown..so here we go
One of the things I wanna stress, is please do not put out copies of the same item for each of the hunts..make the prizes different, I got quite a few complaints last year from customers who ended up with copies of items that were just placed in different areas..For example..same orange tee,placed in the graveyard,in the pumpkin,in the maze,in the ghost hunt..This is our way of saying thank you to our customers who take the time to visit our sim during the holidays :) so lets show em some love
Trick or Treat Doors
-these are free items-one main item, then gag gifts
-you have control over what perms your items are
Where do we put it? And can we texture it?
-you will texture your door as you like,and place it,where you like on the sim
The customers will be able to walk around and click everyones door 1 time every 10 min and the door will give them a random gift.
Some will be lucky and get the gift they want right away, others will not and will have to keep trying.
The door will have a fun halloween scream when they click.
Goodie Graveyard
-you control your item perms
-this is a dollar item
-this must be a different item then you have already placed out for the halloween event
where do we put it?
-you will be receiving a halloween rat sculpty to place your prize in and then place in the grave yard which is located at the main landing point in the center of the sim
The customers will be able to visit the grave yard and pick up the goodies by finding the rats,remember to put a lm and your store sign inside the rats so they know who is giving them prizes and so they can find their way to your store later!
Trick or Treat Pumpkins
-dollar item
-make sure item is different then items that are already placed out in the sim
-I will be passing out pumpkins,or if you want use your own!
where do we put it?
At the front of your stores!
The customers will be going from store to store to get their treats from you
be sure you remember to put your lms in those pumpkins!
Drac's Bat Hunt
-dollar item
-make sure item is different then items that are already placed out in the sim
-I will be sending you a sculpted bat to put your items in
Where do we put it?
The bat will be hidden in the sim, pls pls remember where you put our bat, so come Tuesday morning when the event is over, you can go and collect them from the sim!
7 seas monster fishing customs
-free item
-can only be received by fishing
-make different then prizes that are already out
-let me know asap if you need a custom 7 seas box to place it in.
Customers have to fish for these prizes,and the 7 seas fishers LOVE to do that, try to set this up as soon as its ready to go so if you need help I can get in game and help you be ready.
Midnight Madness and Lucky chairs
If you have em, put em out, if they are Halloween Themed let me know so I can place that in the notice!
These are great traffic items, and ppl love them.

| ReLaunch of Sim-set for Sept 7th |
|
Hello Vendors!
First I would like to clear up a lil confusion about the
relaunch of the sim on Sept 7.
The sim is currently open, customers are visiting the sim, we never locked down LVS
Drive it was always open for ppl to come and go while we did the remodel and everyone moved back in.
Why we kept asking everyone to hurry and set up the stores so you could get additional sales even when the rent was still frozen.
The relaunch is scheduled on Sept 7 for several reasons...
1.To give everyone time to set up their stores
2.So everyone has time to make items for the relaunch
3. Sept 7th is Labor day!!!

Now I'd like everyone to participate in some fashion, the more things we have available for ppl the more traffic comes in.
We've proved that in the past, ppl know what an LVS Drive event is about, they know
we always give lots of goodies so lots of ppl show up and the bloggers do cover
the event on their blogs.
So take advantage of the traffic and the advertisement and join in on the fun.

If you do participate pls drop me a note card and let me know
I will be setting up the flyers and letting customers know what stores
have goodies.

Some of the things we will be doing for the relaunch..and need help on..

Red Queen Hunt--
Hunt of dollarbees hidden in the Red Queen Poker card.(we will supply these)
Please make a note of where you hide your item so when the event is over you can
pick it back up.
With the sim as big as it is and how its decorated it will be very easy to lose track of a hidden hunt item.
*If you are setting out a card let me know so we can keep track of the prizes.
Midnight Madness---
if you have a midnight madness vendor we ask that you
place it out in the mad hatter area.
Be sure you put your lm in the prize box so ppl can find you to check out the rest of your store.
*again if you participate let me know!
7 seas custom items--
Fishing for goodies
If you want to join in the fishing fun let me know so I can send you a custom box to
put your items in and place in the watering hole
(these are freebie items so be sure and put your lm in the prize boxes)
dollar items!!!!
What lvs has come to be known for during the hunts..
make as many as you want these will be placed in your stores
Mad Hatter unbirthday party..(will supply bday boxes)
I need 12 vendors to volunteer to place a bday box (1L) out on the mad hatter table.
Please send me a note card if you would like to be one of the 12.
The item has to be different then the dollar item your putting in your store or using
in the red queen hunt.

We want this relaunch to be HUGE
if you have any friends looking for rental spots
pls let them know we are not opening up rentals to the public.
And pass them the event notice so they can start preparing!
